Linux Security Patching

We recommend that you patch your Linux systems each time you install or upgrade Bionano Access and or Bionano Tools according to our installation instructions. We patch our internal systems every two weeks and perform security scans to check for vulnerabilities. The latest security scan report is available upon demand to instrument owners. It is rare that patches cause conflicts with our software, but it has been known to happen. If there are any known current issues with patching we will post them here. Otherwise you are free to patch your systems at your leisure. If you have any questions about patching your Linux system please contact our support team.
